Our company, known today as East Coast Boatlifts, was founded in 1990 by Charlie and Charlie “the Bells” – father and son. Little Charlie, the son, started working in the South Florida Boat Lift and Marine Construction Industry in 1985 at the age of 17. Big Charlie, Dad, joined Little Charlie in 1990 after 25 years in the retail industry.
Working side by side as subcontractors for local marine contractors and boat lift companies we gained years of hands-on experience and knowledge in both the Boat Lift and Marine Construction Industry.
In 1995, we decided to begin manufacturing our own boat lifts, to fill a void left in South Florida by the demise of other local companies. We have designed and engineered our lifts, taking the best design features from others in the industry and putting them together.
We have developed a line of lifts that is of the highest quality, custom fabricated and very reliable. We do no assembly line fabrication. Each lift is fabricated with pride producing a boat lift that will give you years of peaceful operation. Preassembly at our plant allows for easy set up and installation on site.
Along with Boat Lift Fabrication we have continued to develop our Marine Construction Business. Big Charlie obtained his Heavy Marine Contractors License in 1998 after obtaining the years of experience and knowledge needed.
Still family owned and operated, Dad takes care of sales and operations while little Charlie oversees every job to ensure the quality our customers have come to expect, is carried out on every job.
Today, 90 to 95% of our business is from referrals from our many satisfied customers.
Our goal is to continue developing and fabricating the finest boat lifts available in South Florida, and to give our customers and dealers the best quality and service available anywhere.
